Come and relax at The Grove Harpenden in our beautiful Grade 2 Listed Manor House. Either a weeks stay in our self contained holiday let / Serviced Apartment or a fleeting visit in one of our three Bed and Breakfast rooms, we are able to accommodate you. Situated in the picturesque outskirts of Harpenden and just a 5 minute car journey from Harpenden train station. There are regular trains straight to St. Pancras in under half an hour.

The Holiday Let / Serviced Apartment is the oldest part of the Manor and is approximately 400 years old. It still retains many original features but now has the added benefit of modern luxurious fittings.

"Clare and Gary have just started on the journey that is running your own Bed and Breakfast but this somewhat is an inapropriate name for the beautiful Country House outside the charming town of Harpenden. The Grove is a lovely early eighteenth century country house with great period features panelled dining room and a great entrance hall sitting room with tastefully decorated bedrooms and fantastic contemporary bathrooms: which even have mirror TV's and luxurious big baths and lots of lovely extras. Breakfast is all free range! Clare has her own chickens and the wonderful bacon and sausages to die for are sourced from the local farms. There are freshly baked croissant, a bowl of fruit, fresh juice basically anything you could possibly want served in a beautiful panelled room!"

Enjoy breakfast served in the pannelled dining room dating back to 1712. Breakfast includes a selection of fresh fruit, croissants, muffins, cereal, and our locally sourced full English Breakfast including fresh eggs from our own chickens.

The Grove Bird Cage

Enjoy your morning coffee or end of the day glass of wine sitting in the bird cage.

London Olympics 2012

If you are visiting England this Summer for the Olympics in London, you will be pleased to hear we are only a 30 min train journey from the venues. Harpenden train station is a 5 minute taxi journey from The Grove. There are also Canoeing events in Hertfordshire which are approximately 30 min car journey away.
